She is a financial educator, committed to helping corporations, associations and institutions provide their employees the tools necessary to make the financial decisions required of them regarding their pension and defined contribution plans as well their personal financial decisions.

Gifted in speaking to audiences who possess differing degrees of financial sophistication, Dee designs workshops that educate in an objective manner. The workshops are tailored to accommodate the particular needs of the audience. Areas that can be addressed are financial planning, retirement planning, risk management, estate planning, tax planning, debt management, college funding, 401(k), 457and 403(b) planning, investment planning and elder care.

Dee is particularly concerned that employees understand how to make appropriate decisions regarding their employee benefits. Statistics show that most workers enrolled in defined contribution pension plans are far too conservative in their investment decisions. Over 50% of workers do not know what they are invested in.

Longer life means longer retirement. The issue for the workers of the new millennium is whether or not they will outlive their retirement savings. The issue for the employer is how to provide education to the employee and still stay within the legally allowed educator role.

The catalyst for a seminar can be the implementation of an early retirement program or changes in the benefits package, particularly regarding the pension plan. Often it is the decision on the part of the plan trustees that the company should offer more information to its employees regarding personal financial planning.
